Baby shower invitation parties are perhaps the most precious occasion for the soon-to-be-mother. She is usually filled with apprehensions that her life is about to go out of control. However, a baby shower party reminds the mother about her joys of the impending motherhood. It’s an occasion where family members, relatives and friends shower their blessings upon the expecting mother and bring good wishes.

Finding the proper words for expressing the excitement and joy for the bubbling mother-to-be about her baby could often become difficult to coin. Many people decide to put wise words or famous sayings on baby shower party invitation cards. This is a good way to invite the guests. Rather than using cliché and or off the mill words, a saying or some wise words could aptly convey the joy of having a baby in the family.

Also, if the parents have a nice sense of humor, it can be fun in using some appropriate humorous sayings for the invitation. Only make sure that they are in good taste.

Following are some instances of sayings that could be put on baby shower invitations.

  • “It sometimes happens, even in the best of families, that a baby is born. This is not necessarily cause for alarm. The important thing is to keep your wits about you and borrow some money”: Elinor Goulding Smith.
  • “Babies haven’t any hair; Old men’s heads are just as bare; Between the cradle and the grave; Lie a haircut and a shave”: Samuel Hoffenstein.
